Narowal, Punjab; Pakistan: May 31, 2010: An Ahmadi Mr Naimatullah was stabbed to death and his son Mansoor Ahmed seriously injured when one activist Abid Butt climbed the wall of their house with a dagger and attacked them. The attacker escaped, the Police said. Residents say that the assailant threatened to not leave any Ahmadi alive.
LAHORE; May 28, 2010 14:10 PST: Firing incidents have been reported at Ahmadiyya Mosques in Garhi Shahu and Model Town areas of Lahore on Friday. Terrorists entered into the worship places where at least 1500 worshippers were offering Friday prayers. Explosions also heard in these localities. Heavy police contingents have reached the scene. According to Geo TV TTP Punjab has claimed the responsibility for the attack. 1000-1500 are still reported to have been taken hostage. Two of the attackers blasted themselves inside Mosque.
14:55 PM PST 10 dead bodies have been moved to Hospital from Model Town Mosque, Lahore after clearing it from terrorists.
15:15 PST 15 bodies moved to Hospital. Garhi Shahu Mosque is still under siege. Police fails to move ahead and rescue besieged Ahmadis. 35-40 inured, some in critical condition, moved to hospitals.
15:25 PST 4-6 terrorists are still holding 1200-1500 Ahmadis hostage in Garhi Shahu Mosque. Firing continues. Many casualties are feared in Garhi Shahu.
15:42 PST 3 dead bodies being moved to Hospital from Garhi Shahu Mosque. Firing starts again. Terrorists are using automatic weapons and hand grenades.
16:00 PST 4 reported dead in Garhi Shahu Mosque. Police firing in the air from rooftop of City Law College apparently indicating completion of operation. Injured include three women and one child.
16:20 PST 30 casualties are reported at both places. One terrorist over-powered by worshippers and handed over to police.
17:00 PST 40 casualties; 22 in Model Town, 18 in Garhi Shahu, are reported so far. Exact number of injured are unknown.
17:55 PST So far 64 casualties have been confirmed by authorities. More than 100 are injured.
19:00 PST District Coordination Officer Lahore Mr Sajjad Bhutta confirms 80 casualties.
23:30 PST Official figure now stands at 95 whereas sources claim that figures are much higher.
